Denim Daze - Finding the Perfect Pair of Maternity Jeans

Gap Maternity Jeans, as styled by Jen of House Of Jeffers | www.houseofjeffers.com

Disclaimer: I am not being endorsed by The Gap in any way for this post. This is my own personal opinion, and I have in no way been asked by The Gap to create a post to promote their products... I'm doing it anyway.

The Gap, hands down, makes THE BEST maternity skinny jeans. I have been to countless stores looking for jeans that mimic the look and style I wore pre-pregnancy, and tried on almost every brand of maternity jeans, and none even come close to what the Gap is offering. Their 1969 Demi Panel Always Skinny Jeans really fit how they claim, and have helped me tremendously in terms of making me feel more like myself on days when getting dressed has been an absolute struggle.

I love the jeans so much I bought 3 pairs - grey, blue and black. The Gap's maternity jeans fit right in all the places they should. The leg is a true skinny, (right down to the ankle); the seat is snug but not constricting, and their variety of full panel, elastic insert and demi panel waistlines gives me options that don't suffocate my growing belly. The make, without a doubt, the perfect line of maternity denim.

Amen for the Gap!

Under the Cuff

How to style blunt bangs by House Of Jeffers | www.houseofjeffers.com

Wearing my hair down is sort of my M.O. I feel most comfortable that way, and due to my thick mane, I struggle with putting my hair up in those effortless styles that require me to watch YouTube hair tutorials. I'm NOT kidding. As much as I want to be one of those girls, I lack the talent to whip up chic updos.

Looking to add something different to my style routine, I decided to start off with a simple and classic hairstyle: The ponytail. I pulled my hair back, and used a rat comb to give the crown a slightly raised look. Easy peasy.

But, an ordinary hair band won't do.

The pony cuff features an elastic to secure your hair. Then, the decorative cuff opens to fit around the band, turning this ponytail into a House Of Jeffers certified hairstyle. C'mon - you know I love my accessories! I can't wait to try a high ponytail with the cuff!

Studded Flats for Spring | House Of Jeffers, a fashion blogger from New Jersey

As for my outfit, since Mother Nature is still giving us a big "up yours", my winter clothes haven't been packed away. This cropped blazer from H&M gives my colored pants an extra punch thanks to the modern geometric print. And yes, you can wear two black and white prints at once. The French Connection sweater, which I scored at Nordstrom for $24 on the sale rack, hits at the same length as the cropped blazer for a somewhat preppy look. The library is open, people.

Stripes for Sunday

Henri Bendel Bag, Warehouse Blazer, Zara Pants, Neon Sweater

When the weather gets dreary, I get bright... and dressed up.

Sundays in my house do not mean sweats. It means lacing up my highest wedges, throwing on some neon pink lipstick and letting my bangs down.

The phrase "Look good, feel good" really is true. Although my fashion choices for the day are influenced by Mother Nature, I don't let her win completely. As a fan of loud, obnoxious pairings in terms of prints and ensembles, this outfit is rather tame compared to some of my other posts.

But boy, do I love stripes. This blazer from Warehouse - so me. And the grommet-adorned bag from Henri Bendel - I could just dance I love it so much. It is so beautiful and sassy... and mine. Get ready, people, because this bag will on this blog A LOT the next couple of months. #sorrynotsorry
