Event Recap: My Bendel Girl Experience

When the Henri Bendel team asked me to host a night of VIP Shopping at their Short Hills, NJ location on Wednesday, I was completely floored! For me, Henri Bendel has been a beacon of luxe, chic and absolutely indulgent when it comes to jewelry and things in the name of celebrating being a girl. To be asked to host an event at their store was absolutely an honor and a shopping dream!

Among the champagne and chocolate, I had the chance to meet fellow Henri Bendel fans and help them find the perfect gift for a friend... and better yet, themselves! I loved seeing what items people picked out, and talking to them about what they love about the store. And since I'm a true Bendel Girl at heart, you KNOW I got my shop on, too!

 

On any visit to the Henri Bendel store in Short Hills, it's always decked out in gems and baubles of every kind. But for the holidays, they've created a shoppers paradise of adorable holiday-themed gifts, awe-inspiring jewelry and lavish accessories for everyday, travel and even, pets! I love that Henri Bendel has such a variety of gifts to match style personalities of all sorts.

 

Personally, my hipster heart goes into overdrive for their jewelry.

Electric Boogaloo

Dorothy in the Wizard Of Oz had ruby red slippers. And I'll hand it to her - they were fabulous, as she was the first chick to wear glitter pumps before any of us were even a. born and b. fashion bloggers.

For this outfit, I'm wearing England on my feet in the form of gold studded oxfords are my ruby reds.

Purchased in England, they are an absolute hipster find and call for bouts of unnecessary dance breaks. Quite possibly, a mullet shoe: party in the front with gold studs, business in the back a la a gold heel. And I have my husband to thank for buying these oxfords for my birthday!

I think they go well with my LC Lauren Conrad floral pattern pants that I scored on Black Friday. While I don't think the shoes are appropriate for my job (I work in the marketing/education sector) and I can't wear jeans to work, I'm always looking for pants that are work-appropriate, but not pushing it too much. You won't, however, EVER find me wearing or buying pleated pants.

I feel like dress pants are something Santa would bring me if he thought I should be on the naughty list. Dress pants = coal for me.

She Wore Red

Printed leggings are one of my favorite ways to add dimension to your wardrobe in the winter. Sure, jeans are a staple, but how fun is to wear them constantly? Besides, red velvet leggings look like fun to me!

I'm still reveling in the shopping I did while in England. I managed to snag these red velvet, floral print leggings from Miss Selfridge. I've been fixated with outfits including these leggings since I can play them up with a peplum sweater, or rock a plain black button front top with them for a more casual look... If you can even call these leggings casual.

This outfit also marks another "happiness investment" I made for my birthday: my second Coach bag, the Madison Leather Lindsey Satchel. 

And to top it off, my life-size bow necklace that looks just like the one Hello Kitty wears. Cat power!
